214 Walk, Roll and Stroll: Accessible Birding Outing
A birding outing designed for folks who need extra time to get the most out of the experience. This includes people who use walkers or rollers, strollers or wheelchairs. We'll even have a leader who is fluent in ASL for the Deaf and Hearing Impaired.
Santee Lakes is a marvelous spot, known for Wood Ducks and an impressive bird checklist.
We'll meet at Lake 5 of Santee Lakes. Enter the park at the gate and let them know you are with San Diego Bird Alliance, and they will let you in, no charge! The park was designed with access in mind. Park in the parking area near Lake 5. There are accessible parking spaces and an accessible restroom nearby. We will meet in the parking lot and amble along at the pace of the group. Binoculars can be made available if you need them.
