I have been interested in photography since well back into the last century, but I only began a serious interest in bird photography, especially birds in flight, in 2019. I don't consider myself good with bird identification and I'm also not an exceptional photographer, but I aspire to get better today than yesterday. And I enjoy sharing with and learning from other photographers of all levels of experience. I've been fortunate to co-lead a monthly San Diego Bird Alliance Photo Stroll monthly since 2023, and I've been leading a monthly bird photography session over Zoom since 2024. Since 2019, I have had the pleasure of photographing birds in Arizona, Florida, Tennessee, the Pacific Northwest, Japan, the Galapagos Islands, Costa Rica, and of course much of San Diego.
