Teri Kerns

Teri Kerns From the breathtaking Oregon Coast to the vibrant atmosphere of Ramona, my husband Micole and I moved to sunny Ramona in 2004 where I pursued a dynamic career in healthcare business development after serving in the US Navy until an unexpected layoff in 2021. We embarked on our winemaking journey in 2005, planting our first vineyard, Ramona Ranch Winery, in 2006, with sustainability at the core of our operations. By 2017, we proudly became San Diego County's only Certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery. Our property is also a Certified Wildlife Habitat, featuring an insectary to promote biodiversity.
We specialize in single varietal wines, including our exquisite Estate Tannat and Sangiovese, and we were honored with a Double-Gold Medal for our Sangiovese at the Sunset International Wine Competition. My responsibilities encompass business development, licensing, tasting room operations, and marketing, all while integrating sustainable practices.
Beyond winemaking, I actively volunteer in the local wine community as Secretary of the Women’s Wine Alliance and as the Program/Education Director for the Ramona Valley Vineyard Association. I have been recognized as a “Trail Blazer” in the San Diego Wine Industry and take great pleasure in mentoring interns from local community colleges pursuing viticulture. With an MBA and a Level Three WSET Certificate earned in 2024, I look forward to toasting to the exciting journey that lies ahead!
