Gary Herritz is a passionate advocate for accessible and inclusive birding, dedicated to ensuring that the joy of connecting with nature is open to everyone. A disabled birder, Gary brings lived experience, empathy, and enthusiasm to his work as a Birdfy Brand Ambassador and as a volunteer with organizations such as Birdability, helping to make birding more welcoming for all. Living nomadically out of necessity while following bird migrations, Gary has spent years exploring and photographing species across North America. His award-winning photography, writing, and outreach highlight resilience, community, and the power of finding connection through birds.
