Trip Leader: Autumn Turner
Biography
Autumn began leading trips for San Diego Bird Alliance in 2020 while working with endangered Loggerhead Shrikes on San Clemente Island. She has a diverse background in wildlife rehabilitation, endangered species conservation breeding programs, habitat restoration, outdoor education, and wildlife research. In addition to her day job with USFWS as a Wildlife Refuge Specialist at Stone Lakes National Wildlife Refuge in Elk Grove, CA, Autumn currently serves as a board member for Yolo Bird Alliance leading field trips, conducting bird surveys, and managing a local songbird nest box program. She looks forward to returning to the San Diego area each year for a fun, bird-filled week!
